Meggan Lubach, Boys Team Coach, BRVBA

Hi there!

I am so excited to Head Coach U14 Boys with the Blue Royals Academy volleyball program for the 203/24 season!

Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for almost 30 years….my love of the game began when I started playing in 8th grade, continuing thru high school receiving a Varsity letter award all 4 years at South Whidbey High School.  During those years our team had 3 State appearances, placing 3rd in our 1994 season.  I was offered a tuition scholarship to play at Central Washington University and was a part of the Wildcat program my Freshman year coached by Mario Andaya.  I continued playing intramural co-ed volleyball until receiving my Associates Degree.

Having the opportunity to return back to South Whidbey School District and start my coaching career at Langley Middle School coaching 7th grade in 2004 only grew my love of the game even more.  My former teammate and I took over the South Whidbey High School volleyball program in 2008 where I continue to coach at the Junior Varsity level today.  We are very proud of the successful program we have built and are so grateful to continue sharing our love of the game with our community.

Our SW Head Coach and I founded Volleykids back in 2012, a youth program that allows younger age levels to learn the game of volleyball.  We host Spring clinics and Summer camps each year for Kindergarten thru 6th grades for both girls and boys, which is where my son Braedon found a passion for volleyball as well and will now be playing for the U14’s this season.

As a coach I am committed to help every player I have the opportunity to work with reach their full potential.  I believe it is important to build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge of the game and expect players to be willing to give 110% when they are on the court.  I am looking forward to a lot of fun and seeing some great accomplishments with the U14’s team this season!
