For my day job I am an ICU Nurse. A major role of a nurse is to teach! I am passionate about teaching people the skills needed to care for themself. I am married with three young children and we
all volunteer locally in our church and community.
I have played volleyball since age 7. My passion and skills grew once I started playing club and taking personal lessons at age 15. I was a starting varsity outside hitter for high school from
sophomore to senior year. I went on to play a season of club volleyball at the University of Washington, but started our family soon after. Since then I have coached on and off at
the Boys and Girls Club and participated in coaching camps.
My coaching philosophy is summarized well by Mark Twain, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." If you have passion for the sport and a drive to
improve, I'm in your corner! I love seeing athletes develop into competitive players. Having a heart for the game is SO important! I am very excited to be an assistant coach this year and
look forward to working with your athletes. GO BLUE!
