Coach Chantal, 24
This will be my first year coaching. I will be an assistant coach for the 15’s team. I was first introduced to volleyball at the age of 11. I instantly fell in love with the sport. I played for my high school and competed on club teams up until I graduated high school. While playing volleyball, I was either the setter or defensive specialist. I graduated from Battle Ground High School and then attended college in Kirkland. While in college, I competed on the track team as a thrower. I threw the javelin, discus, hammer, and weight. I played for three different clubs down south near Portland. I started my club career on Cowlitz Volleyball Club for 2 years. I then moved and played for the North County Wildcats Volleyball Club for 4 years. During that time, I was the team captain each year. The last two years of club play was on the Nafanua Volleyball Club. I remember having the most amazing time traveling with my team, competing, and growing as a player and a person.
During my time as a coach, I want to instill in the girls that hard work and determination are needed to compete. I also believe that team work, collaboration, and communication are fundamental when on a team. I am dedicated to make this an amazing year and creating a team where the girls grow as players and as friends.
